A Noé Barnett solo art exhibit

June 2026

(hum): a solo exhibition by Noé Barnett exploring the quiet forces that shape our lives. Best known for his large-scale murals, Barnett turns inward with a body of oil paintings that moves between hyperrealism and atmospheric imagery. Through his distinctive play with light, Barnett balances technical precision with emotional depth, reflecting on the subtle connections between people, place, and the unseen rhythms that unite us.

June 5th-August 1st, 2026

Noé Barnett is an Albuquerque-born muralist and painter whose practice spans large-scale public art and studio painting. A graduate of the University of New Mexico’s Painting and Drawing program, Barnett is known for his vibrant color, bold compositions and distinctive use of light. His work explores identity, unity, and shared experience while creating space for reflection and dialogue.

Created as part of (hum), Noé Barnett’s 8 × 14-foot mural was completed inside Secret Gallery in justa couple days. A luminous hourglass stands beside peonies in full bloom and fallen petals. Through dramatic light and shadow, the mural gives visual form to the exhibition’s refrain: “To be human is to come from dust. To be humble is to remember it.”

Title: Grow Low 2

Oil and Glass Microbeadds on canvas 46 × 40.

Artists Statement: GrowLow 02 continues a series exploring humility, surender and inward transformation through floral forms emerging from darkness. The bloom bends beneath its own fullness, opening toward concentrated light at its center rather than reaching outward for attention.

Growth does not happen naturaly and spiritual growth is no exception. The process of spiritual growth is one of lowering. Rather than reaching upward toward spectacle, the work considers spiritual growth as a movement toward depth, surrender and quiet transformation.
